Battery life depends on the number and duration of alarms • The sound emitted is 95+ decibels • To stop the Hummingbird Hard Tag from alarming, follow instructions for removal Protecting (Arming) Merchandise with the Hummingbird Hard Tag: 1. Insert the Pin through the desired area of the garment. (Figure 2) NOTE: The Hummingbird Hard Tag should be on the outside of the garment and the Pin should be on the inside. Placement should not affect how the garment fits when it is tried on by a customer. 2. To lock and arm the unit, push the Pin into the Hummingbird Hard Tag. Gently tug on the garment to ensure the Pin is locked. (Figure 3) NOTE: Unit will play a confirmation tune and flash red. Unit is now armed and the LED Light will continue to flash approximately once every five seconds. 3. Merchandise is now secure and ready for display. Removing (Disarming) the Hummingbird Hard Tag from Merchandise: 1. Align the Ears of the Manager’s Key with the knob on the Hummingbird Hard Tag. (Figure 4) NOTE: The Manager’s Key Ears can be placed on either side of the Hummingbird Hard Tag. 2. Gently push in on the Pin until you hear a faint click. Rotate the Pin and garment to the left, then pull straight up, removing the Pin from the Hummingbird Hard Tag. (Figure 5) 3. Remove the Manager’s Key. NOTE: Store Hummingbird Hard Tag and Pin in two separate containers for ease of application. Product should be stored 3 feet (1 meter) from Deactivation Units. 4. Garment is now ready for sale. FCC Information and Compliance RF Exposure This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment may operate in direct contact with the body of the user under normal operating conditions. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. For Class A Devices: “NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.“ Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communication. This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. Le présent appareil est conforme aux CNR d’Industrie Canada applicables aux appareils radio exempts de licence. L’exploitation est autorisée aux deux conditions suivantes : (1) l’appareil ne doit pas produire de brouillage, et (2) l’utilisateur de l’appareil doit accepter tout brouillage radioélectrique subi, même si le brouillage est susceptible d’en compromettre le fonctionnement.
